Genesis 32 : 1 (MKJV)
And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.

And when Jacob saw them he said, This is God's camp. And he called the name of that place Two Camps.
Genesis 32 : 3 (MKJV)
And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother, to the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
Genesis 32 : 4 (MKJV)
And he commanded them, saying, So shall you speak to my lord Esau: Your servant Jacob says thus, I have lived with Laban and stayed until now.
Genesis 32 : 5 (MKJV)
And I have oxen and asses, flocks, and menservants, and slave women. And I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in your sight.
Genesis 32 : 6 (MKJV)
And the messengers returned to Jacob saying, We came to your brother Esau, and also he comes to meet you, and four hundred men with him.
Genesis 32 : 7 (MKJV)
Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed, and he divided the people with him, and the flocks and herds, and the camels, into two bands.
Genesis 32 : 8 (MKJV)
And he said, If Esau comes to the one company and strikes it, then the other company which is left shall escape.
Genesis 32 : 9 (MKJV)
And Jacob said, Oh God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, Jehovah, who said to me, Return to your country and to your kindred, and I will deal well with you:
Genesis 32 : 10 (MKJV)
I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies and of all the truth which You have done to Your servant. For with my staff I passed over this Jordan, and now I have become two bands.
Genesis 32 : 11 (MKJV)
Deliver me, I pray You, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau. For I fear him, lest he come and strike me, from mother to sons.
Genesis 32 : 12 (MKJV)
And You said, I will surely do you good, and make your seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
Genesis 32 : 13 (MKJV)
And he lodged there that night. And he took of that which came to his hand, a present for Esau his brother
Genesis 32 : 14 (MKJV)
two hundred she-goats, twenty he-goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,
Genesis 32 : 15 (MKJV)
thirty milk camels with their colts, forty cows and ten bulls, twenty she-asses and ten foals.
Genesis 32 : 16 (MKJV)
And he delivered into the hands of his servants, every drove by themselves. And he said to his servants, Pass over in front of me and put a space between drove and drove.
Genesis 32 : 17 (MKJV)
And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meets you, and asks you saying, To whom do you belong? and, Where do you go? And whose are these before you?
Genesis 32 : 18 (MKJV)
Then you shall say, Your servant Jacob's. It is a present sent to my lord Esau. And, behold, he also is behind us.
Genesis 32 : 19 (MKJV)
And so he commanded the second and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, In this way you shall speak to Esau when you find him.
Genesis 32 : 20 (MKJV)
And also you shall say, Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face. Perhaps he will accept me.
Genesis 32 : 21 (MKJV)
And the present went over before him. And he himself lodged that night in the camp.
Genesis 32 : 22 (MKJV)
And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two slave women, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.

And he took them, and sent them over the stream, and sent over what he had.
Genesis 32 : 24 (MKJV)
And Jacob was left alone. And a Man wrestled there with him until the breaking of the day.

And when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the hollow of his thigh. And the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint as he wrestled with Him.
Genesis 32 : 26 (MKJV)
And He said, Let Me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let You go except You bless me.
Genesis 32 : 27 (MKJV)
And He said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob.
Genesis 32 : 28 (MKJV)
And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for like a prince you have power with God and with men, and have prevailed.
Genesis 32 : 29 (MKJV)
And Jacob asked and said, I pray You, reveal Your name. And He said, Why do you ask after My name? And He blessed him there.
Genesis 32 : 30 (MKJV)
And Jacob called the name of the place Face of God; for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
Genesis 32 : 31 (MKJV)
And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he limped upon his thigh.
Genesis 32 : 32 (MKJV)
Therefore the sons of Israel do not eat of the sinew of the thigh, which is on the hip-socket, until this day, because He touched Jacob's hip-socket, the sinew of the thigh.
